Joel Bouriaque works as an engineer in Alabama. When not working, he is busy running his farm and writing. Joel was born in Louisiana, moving to Morenci, Arizona in middle school. Graduating from Morenci High School, he returned to Louisiana to get his Engineering Degree from Louisiana Tech University. He then returned to Arizona to work in the copper mines. While there, he met his lovely wife Sommer. They have been married for fifteen years, and have a son and a daughter. He obtained a Masters Degree in Business several years into their marriage.
Joel also has played bass and guitar for several worship teams and bands. He works in the churches, teaching children and teens, with a special focus on physically handicapped children and autistic children. His son is autistic, sending Joel and his wife into special missions for special needs children. His message to all parents of special needs children, “bring them to church, and get them out into society. Be proud that God has blessed you with caring for one of His special little lambs!” His wife, Sommer, works with special needs children in the school systems.
Joel loves to read a varied mix. The Bible and any Theology book he can get his hands on are his favorite to read, but he also reads Science Fiction and Fantasy. His mother was a Christian Science Fiction writer before she passed away. With his love for Theology and Christian fiction, Joel started working on mixing the two many years ago.
